History of Flower Valley
1966
On January 29, Flower Valley was established as a new community developed by Yeonas Brothers with plans for 465 homes ranging in price from $37,500 - $42,500. The community was eventually extended through the building of additional sections of homes known at the time as Cloisters, Wynlock, Castle Walk, with final building completed in the mid-1980’s.

Flower Valley Citizens Association was established to promote harmony and fellowship among the community, and to represent and protect the community in civic and school affairs.

Flower Valley Elementary School opened.

Flower Valley Bath & Racquet Club opened on Memorial Day and the first swim team began competing in the Montgomery County Swim League.

Norbeck Road was widened from 2 to 4 lanes, from 1981-84.
